Every customer is verified, and we welcome use cases that respect each platform's rules. We decline anyone whose intent doesn't fit.

Every iPhone in the fleet ships with an enforced app allowlist and a restricted Messages app. These device-level controls keep the fleet scoped to the legitimate social-media use cases we support, so our trust and safety posture is built into the hardware, not just the policy.

  • App allowlist enforced at the device level
    Each iPhone runs only social-media and messenger apps such as Instagram, TikTok, X, Snapchat, WhatsApp, and Telegram. Every other app is blocked. No App Store access, no sideloading.
  • Messages app restricted to read-via-notification
    Incoming SMS appears as an iOS notification on the lock screen. Customers cannot open the Messages app, compose a new text, reply, or forward, so the fleet stays scoped to its intended social-media use.

  • Fraud of any kind. Account takeover, payment fraud, refund fraud, identity theft, or chargeback abuse. Zero tolerance, immediate termination.
  • Intercepting authentication codes. Capturing one-time passwords or 2FA codes for accounts you do not own or are not authorized to access.
  • Spam and messaging abuse. Unsolicited SMS, A2P pumping, robocalling, phishing, smishing, or any communication that violates TCPA or CASL.
  • Unauthorized account access or resale. Accessing accounts you are not authorized to use, or trading in stolen or inauthentic platform accounts.
  • CSAM, trafficking, extremism. Reported immediately to NCMEC or Cybertip.ca and the appropriate law-enforcement authority. No warnings, no exceptions.
  • Anything unlawful where you operate. If a use case is unlawful where you operate, it is not a fit for Thumbs, regardless of whether it is enumerated above.

What does Thumbs actually do?
We rent you a real iPhone (currently 12 to 13, assigned based on availability), hosted in our facility, accessible over our control tunnel and a streaming web UI. You install apps, log in to accounts, run automation β€” whatever your workflow needs. We keep the iPhones online on a real US carrier (Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile) with a real cellular IP β€” not a residential proxy, not a datacenter exit.
Why iPhones?
Because for most workflows that depend on reach, engagement, and authenticity, iPhones deliver. Social platforms favor the iOS upload class, premium apps prioritize iOS, and your highest-value users are on iOS. We measured the gap and built the product around it β€” real iPhones get more views per post, full stop.
Is Thumbs a publishing service?
Posting is built in, but we're not a done-for-you agency. You can schedule and automate posts across every iPhone you rent, all from one dashboard. What we don't do is manage your accounts or run growth strategy for you. You bring the content and the plan, we run the devices and publish.
What are the rules β€” your AUP?
Standard common-carrier AUP: no fraud, no spam, no malware, no CSAM, no targeted harassment, no platform attacks. KYC required at Pro and above. We act on credible abuse reports within 24h. Beyond that, we don't inspect customer workloads.
How does this compare to Geelark or BrowserStack?
Geelark and most remote-device vendors run emulators in datacenters β€” software-level virtualization, not real hardware. BrowserStack mixes some real devices but shares them aggressively across customers. Thumbs is real consumer iOS hardware racked in our facility, on real carrier networks, optionally dedicated to one customer.
Can I receive SMS at the rented iPhone?
Yes. Each iPhone has a real SIM on a partner carrier (Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T). You can receive SMS, OTPs, and 2FA codes. Pro and above include an SMS-forwarding webhook so codes arrive in your app within seconds.
What about jailbreaking / Cydia / sideloading?
Our iPhones run stock iOS. We don't jailbreak β€” keeping devices stock is what makes them reliable and authentic. TestFlight and App Store apps are fully supported.
How fast is the connection?
~80ms median round trip from US-East. Streaming UI runs ~30 fps with adaptive bitrate. The control tunnel feels essentially native, which is why most customers automate against it rather than the streaming view.
How do you keep the platform legitimate?
Our AUP and our willingness to enforce it. Egregious abuse gets the customer removed; we work with platforms on credible abuse reports. We're the infrastructure, not the workflow β€” and we hold customers to a clear standard, because our reputation is the company.
